Details

Completed in 1980, CANA was instrumental in the development of the third tower of Pacific Centre North, better known as the Vancouver Stock Exchange Tower.

This tower spans over 96 metres (315 feet) in height and has 24 storeys. This tower utilizes a structural steel frame with glass curtain wall cladding on an existing two-storey retail complex. The integrity of the existing roofing water tightness was fully maintained and the underground parking and mall businesses were kept in normal operation throughout construction.

One interesting fact about this building is that the original design called for 38 stories to be constructed. However, before construction began, the anchor tenant decided to relocate elsewhere. As a result, the tower was scaled back to its current 24 floors.
