Details

CANA was the general contractor for this expansion to the Physical Education Building at the University of Calgary in 1987. This project included a large scope of work in order to develop the many amenities in this new facility. Amongst them were a new gymnasium, administrative offices, weight rooms, and racquet court facilities. A swimming pool and diving complex were also included and were designed to meet international and Olympic standards. All construction operations were conducted without interference of the day-to-day operations of adjacent facilities.

The Jack Simpson Gymnasium is named in honour of the late Jack Simpson, CANA’s founding president and owner.
