The Manhattan Lofts

CANA was involved in the transformation of the historic Singer office building into one of the trendiest lofts in Calgary at the time of its build. Completed in 1995, the Manhattan Lofts features spacious suites offering large windows and open areas. This 38-unit, three-storey project included the renovation and development of the buildings’ interior for the conversion to loft-style living plus the addition of a new underground parkade. Structural steel was used to reinforce the old building and a significant amount of demolition was required to accommodate the new layout. The exterior façade was restored and repaired in order to return the Singer office building back to its original finish.
