Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School: Fine Arts Wing and Cafeteria Addition/Renovations

The Fine Arts expansion is another fine example of CANA’s workmanship and quality. Partnered with Strathcona-Tweedsmuir since 1994, CANA has actively participated in the expansion and renovation of several campus areas. From the start, CANA worked with school staff to create a "Master Plan and Programming" study. Next, construction activities were prioritized and scheduling was completed to match critical needs and available financing. Continuous costing and scheduling services were provided throughout the project from start to finish. Major construction projects were scheduled to coincide with summer vacation to minimize disruption to students and staff.

CANA acted as project manager on this project, which included the addition of a 600-seat theatre, music and art room additions, and a 100-seat full-service cafeteria. Several renovations to existing corridors were also conducted to accommodate the new facilities.

All Strathcona-Tweedsmuir projects were completed within demanding time frames and within budget expectations. Our ongoing relationship with the school is a result of our consistent performance.
