Project
Details

The tenant improvements to the Yellowknife Stanton hospital involve constructing a new feature exterior staircase and renovating a portion of the hospital to convert it to a long-term care facility. The work involves selective demolition, base-build upgrades, mechanical and electrical, millwork, and finishes. The team developed a patient room mock-up suite, which has allowed them to start on finishes earlier and ensure a high level of quality. The team has already completed most of the exterior concrete work, some which was completed in extreme weather conditions. They have hired a lot of local contractors, which supports CANA's focus on inclusion and supporting the economies in which we work. A key area of focus was keeping the site clean, considering the air quality and infection prevention and control requirements, especially in the time of COVID-19. CANA is Prime Contractor for construction and manages safety, quality, budget and schedule.
