Sembiosys Growth Room Expansion

CANA and Sembiosys’ relationship continued with another addition to their existing facility in Sunridge Business Park. This project converted the vacant warehouse space adjacent to the existing laboratory into an additional 3,900 ft² of plant growing facilities and office space. CANA was the construction manager from early in the design stage and assisted Sembiosys Genetics with the desired scope and function of the new space. CANA worked with Graham Edmonds Cartier, Hemisphere Engineering, and Stebnicki Robertson and Associates on this three-month project which was completed in September 2005.

SemBioSys Genetics Inc. is a biotechnology company engaged in the development and commercialization of protein pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical products. Their new office space, laboratory, and growing space allowed for continued production of their two lead pharmaceutical products, Insulin and Apolipoprotein AI.
