Details

As part of the Saddledome renovations in 1995, CANA constructed a two-level, 450-stall parkade. This parkade involved the use of pre-cast concrete in combination with a cast-in-place concrete foundation. Connections to the existing exterior concourse were constructed to improve access to the structure. The parkade was also designed to carry an additional two levels for future expansion. Safety was incorporated into the design by building stairwell areas that were completely glassed-in to improve visibility, especially at night. Lighting and minimization of obstructions were were factors that were considered.
