CANA was instrumental in constructing the National Hydrology Research Centre located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 1986.

This state-of-the-art laboratory was built to establish a facility where hydrology could be studied and analyzed. It is located on the University of Saskatchewan campus, allowing easy access for students and faculty, and promoting a partnership between university and government in environmental research.
