Details

In order to meet the needs of an ever expanding student population, Mount Royal University and the Student’s Association jointly expanded and renovated the existing Wyckham House Student Centre. The existing centre was originally constructed in 1987 and now services the needs of more than 33,000 full-time and part-time students.

CANA was the construction manager on this large expansion and renovation project. The expansion was four storeys including the basement on a foot print of 8,665 ft². It includes food kiosks, offices, meeting rooms, a lounge, study space, and a large atrium for student organized events. Expansion plans increased the overall size of the facility by an additional 34,660 ft² while renovation work occurred in an additional 41,440 ft².
