Project
Details

CANA was the construction manager on this library renovation and expansion. The scope of work for this project included the addition of a second storey space for 12 new offices, individual workstations, reception area, and conference room. The main floor renovation included new study rooms, media carrels, and new book/mail sorting areas.

Mount Royal University wanted the library to have an open and inviting atmosphere. This look was achieved by incorporating glass doors, a glazing wall system, and a magnetic security system.

As the University was incorporating high-tech data and communications installations, extensive slab cutting was required to complete this work. As a result, the new library was fitted with 140 computer workstations.

CANA was pleased to participate in this fast-track project and is proud to say the project was completed on time with library office staff being able to move into the library three weeks ahead of schedule.
