Max Bell Centre is a community hub in Calgary, hosting hockey games, festivals, and events. Originally built in 1974, the Centre needed upgrades to modernize the facility. These upgrades included:

  • Replacement of the ice slab in the Ken Bracko arena
  • Lifecycle replacement of electrical, mechanical, and elevator systems
  • A modernized main entrance, lobby, and concession areas
  • Accessibility improvements, including barrier-free washrooms
  • Parking area improvements to better accommodate outdoor public events
  • Dasher board netting replacement

CANA completed the construction while respecting existing tenants in the building.

The project needed to be completed on time to accomodate the annual Mac's Invitational Hockey Tournament. CANA overcame numerous procurement challenges to ensure the renovation was completed on time.
