Training spaces for Canada's athletes.

Markin MacPhail (also referred to as WinSport or CODA), is a three phase arena, office, and high performance training centre.

The 120,000 ft2 high performance training centre consists of a public fitness space, high performance sport training and development space for the Sports School, a sports medicine clinic, physiotherapy clinic, sport science laboratory, classrooms, and multipurpose lounge spaces for the multiple building users.

CANA was involved in a major constructability analysis and value engineering review for materials and systems to be used in the facility. Our selected options offered sustainability, efficiency and long-term durability. The facility is LEED Silver Certified.

Our involvement led to the project being completed for $30M less than the original budget, as a result of value engineering, tendering strategy and subcontractor management.
