Kinsmen Sports Centre

CANA was General Contractor for the construction of the Kinsmen Sports Centre in Edmonton, Alberta. Completed in 1977 for the 1978 Commonwealth Games, this Olympic-class facility has several amenities for athletes. There are five swimming pools, diving towers, full locker rooms and shower facilities for the pool area. Weight training, fitness and high performance sport training facilities help athletes keep in shape and train during the off-season. The swimming and diving pools were specifically designed to meet International Olympic Standards. Administration offices and a large viewing area were also built under this contract. Parking and landscaping were the final items to be completed for this facility.
