A 29-storey condominium in downtown Calgary.

Keynote Tower II is a 190,000 ft2, 29-storey condominium constructed off 11th Avenue SE as part of a mixed-use multi-phase office, residential, and retail development. Construction to the podium level was complete when CANA took over and demolished the level four parkade roof parapet to construct the tower above.

The building features 250 suites, a whirlpool and change facilities, a shared fitness centre, and underground parkade. The structure is cast-in-place concrete, with a Low-E curtainwall cladding system. Suite finishes include high-end laminate flooring and granite counters.

The site was logistically complex as the building was constructed off of 12th Avenue in downtown Calgary and adjacent to an operational office and residential tower.

CANA used seacan walkways and scaffolding on the exterior so parking and access to the other buildings could be safely maintained on the constrained site. CANA dealt with high winds using a wind notification system and developed a management plan for securing materials. Materials were staged in a manner that allowed for installation immediately upon arriving on site using a just-in-time delivery method.
