Engineered Air Office and Shop

The Engineered Air Office and Shop is a 80,000 ft² four-storey office facility for Engineered Air — one of the leading North American suppliers/ manufacturers of HVAC systems. The new building was constructed adjacent to Engineered Air’s existing facility and tied-in at the main level. The new office includes a fitness facility, cafe, woodwork shop, and gymnasium.

The original design for the gymnasium included a combination of structural steel, masonry block, and cladding. CANA suggested pre-cast concrete as an alternate, in order to decrease the number of trades, improve the schedule, and save costs. The use of pre-cast concrete also allowed us to reduce winter condition costs as this scope was completed during the winter months.

As a result of CANA’s strategies and approach, the project was turned over several months ahead of schedule in early 2018.
