Details

Completed in 1973, the Carseland Dam serves as a valuable piece of infrastructure for Alberta’s agricultural community. This dam is an overflow weir spillway, measuring 500 feet in length and 35 feet in height. A gate control concrete sluiceway and concrete canal headgate structure control water flow in the dam. For this project, aggregate and mixing of concrete were completed onsite to make the concrete process more efficient. The dam was complete and operational within 16 months of startup.
