Bringing joy.
CANA partnered with the Kids Cancer Care Foundation and Randy Bell Architecture to complete the Camp Kindle project located in Water Valley, Alberta. CANA was the Project Manager and General Contractor for the project. This is the first children's cancer camp in Alberta.
Camp Kindle is owned and operated by the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta and serves families and community groups affected by childhood cancer. CANA assisted with project funding and was directly involved in the procurement of donations from subtrades and suppliers. According to Kids Cancer Care CEO, Christine McIvor, they were “encouraged by these acts of generosity as it allowed us to create an even better facility for the kids we serve.”
The scope of work for Camp Kindle included camp-wide fresh water, storm and sanitary system installation, an upgraded electrical system, landscaping and the construction of several two-storey walk-out bungalow dormitories, a staff house, a dining centre for 160 people, a utility house, and a maintenance shop.
Camp Kindle was completed on time and on budget. CANA is proud to have been involved on such a meaningful project, which brings joy and hope to the lives of children and their families whose lives have been touched by cancer.
We are best known for our unique and one-of-a-kind projects, but these projects are just some of many institutional, commercial, industrial, residential and infrastructure work that we complete.
