The largest consolidated court centre in North America.
The Calgary Courts Centre was a tremendous addition to downtown Calgary, with over one million square feet of modern architectural design led by Kasian Architects.
The project features the development of three court towers on government owned land and a 24 floor north tower and a 20 floor south tower linked by a glass atrium. The building features a cast-in-place concrete structure with pre-cast concrete cladding on the exterior facade.
The LEED Silver project has triple glazing and a dual-ducted mechanical system that is highly engineered to provide occupant comfort with maximum efficiency at a low operating cost.
The building has an advanced security system to ensure safe delivery of the justice system at all times.
The security control centre monitors every camera, card reader, and duress button in all detention areas, courtrooms, judicial offices, and public areas.
Twelve glass elevators located in the glass atrium public provide access to the building and offer views of downtown Calgary and the Bow Valley.
At completion, the Calgary Courts Centre included 73 courtrooms and was the largest consolidated court centre in North America.
We are best known for our unique and one-of-a-kind projects, but these projects are just some of many institutional, commercial, industrial, residential and infrastructure work that we complete.
