Respectful, non-disruptive project delivery.

Beaver Dam Lodge is a Seniors Extended Care Facility in Calgary. To maintain services and not disrupt quality of care, the facility remained fully operational throughout construction.

The project involved a building code upgrade, new fire alarm and sprinkler systems, major asbestos abatement, and building renovations. CANA was responsible for all general conditions provisions, installing hoarding units and completing rough carpentry and hardware installations in advance of construction. We also replaced and installed several fire rated doors and completed minor architectural details. Part of this three phase project included tying-in to the city water services to feed the new wet sprinkler system in the corridors and building suites. We also installed new dry sprinkler system in the building’s attic.

Due to the occupied nature of the building, it was important for all primary services to remain functioning at all times. Construction was phased to ensure shutdowns and transfers were localized to each affected area.

Understanding the nature of the facility and the sensitivity of the aging clientele, CANA maintained high standards for cleanliness and safety at all times.
