Constructed in 1981, the TELUS Tower (formerly the AGT Tower) is another example of CANA’s superior construction skills. This 112 metre (367 foot) tower includes 28 floors of above-ground space and features many amenities, making it a Class A office tower at the time it was built. The structure itself is made of cast-in-place, post-tensioned concrete. Wall panels were constructed of pre-cast concrete.
The building was designed to be “energy conscious and efficient”. To accomplish this, a sophisticated network of computer control systems was installed. The building has higher than normal floor heights to accommodate various pieces of equipment and machinery.
Other building features include a 320-stall underground parking garage, cafeteria, retail space, and +15 connections.
