Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School: Physical Education Complex Expansion

The Physical Education Complex Expansion is just one of many collaboration projects between CANA and Strathcona Tweedsmuir School. Since 1994, CANA has participated in the phased expansion and renovation of Strathcona Tweedsmuir. CANA initially provided estimates based on preliminary studies, then worked with the school to determine financing of critical needs. During the project, CANA maintained costs and schedules to ensure the project was completed effectively and efficiently. Major construction work was executed during vacation periods to minimize disruption to school operations.

For the Physical Education Complex, CANA acted as the Project Manager in the design of a $3.3 M full size gymnasium designed to supplement existing facilities. The scope of this project included a full service facility complete with a mezzanine running track, weight / fitness rooms, climbing wall, aerobic /dance studio and new classrooms. Connections to existing buildings were also constructed.

All Strathcona Tweedsmuir projects have been completed to the highest permissible standard. Our repeat work at this campus is a direct result of our consistent standard of performance.
