A new school set in the beautiful badlands.

St. Anthony’s in Drumheller is a single-story, 54,000 ft2 Catholic school, which serves 400+ students in grades kindergarten to twelve. The school allows Christ the Redeemer Catholic Schools to create a well-rounded Catholic learning experience for students.

CANA took over for the original contractor of St. Anthony’s school after they were unable to fulfill their obligations. There were significant deficiencies with the original contractor’s work and structural upgrades were required.

The LEED Silver certified school features two full sized gymnasia, a football field and track, multi-purpose classrooms, a cafeteria, main hall, chapel and library. St. Anthony’s also features spaces that allows for enhanced elective courses such as an art and drama area, as well as career technologies for foods and fashion, construction, science and computer studies.

Building materials consist of masonry block wall, with a brick façade, as well as metal cladding and some curtainwall. A number of modular buildings were also included, to allow for greater flexibility as the needs of the school change over time.
