Project Update: Airdrie Multi-use Facility and Library

The Airdrie Multi-use Facility and Library has made great progress with the mild late fall weather. As seen in the pictures below, the team is currently backfilling over the mud slab in the parkade and around the interior columns that will support the suspended slab, which will become the floor of the first level of the library and the ceiling of the parkade.

By pouring the suspended slab first, the team creates more efficiency by allowing other tasks to happen above the parkade while they complete the final pour and other tasks while covered.

The mud slab for the parkade ramp is complete and formwork for the retaining wall surrounding it is happening now, with the final slab for the ramp to happen soon.
