Institute of Ocean Sciences

Constructed in 1978, the Institute of Ocean Sciences was the country’s leading research facility in oceanic studies. Located in Sidney, just north of Victoria, BC, the centre allows researchers to study the coastal waters of the Pacific Ocean and the surrounding environment. The structure itself is a very low complex, spread out over a large area. It houses many laboratories and research offices. A harbour area was also constructed as part of this contract.
