For inquiries about the Calgary Event Centre
CANA worked with the Calgary Health Region on the preconstruction planning and initial budgeting on this project that vertically expanded the existing parkade by an additional two levels and added a surface parking lot.
The parkade was originally designed to allow for one additional level of parking; however, CANA worked with the designers to provide an alternate structural steel design that utilized light-weight concrete that allowed the parkade to accommodate two levels instead of one. CANA coordinated construction work with Foothills Medical Centre operations in order to minimize the impact of construction on staff, patients, and visitors to the hospital.
