Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre

This extended care facility is a four-storey hospital incorporating cast-in-place construction and masonry. This hospital contains 294 beds with six nursing units. Meal service is provided by a cafeteria and a commissary constructed to centralize food preparation at the Fanning Centre location with distribution to other extended care sites. The main hospital has a pool on the lower main level complete with full locker facilities. A surface parking lot was built during the original construction of the hospital.
