7th Avenue LRT Refurbishment - Phase III

Improving the LRT commute.

Prior to the completion of the 7th Avenue Phase II project, CANA was involved on Phase III of the 7th Avenue refurbishment. Phase III included the re-construction of the 4th Street S.W. station to accommodate four-car trains and increased pedestrian traffic. In addition to the new station, CANA updated the surrounding streetscape including sidewalks, street furnishings, bus bays and new landscaping.

The project included refurbishing the Plus 15 that connect the 4th Street platform to The Core shopping mall, as well as a new LRT Traction Power Substation (TPSS) to deliver the additional power requirements to run the four-car trains.
